Glashütte Original PanoMaticLunar XL - Saxon precision watchmaking in 42 mm
The PanoMaticLunar XL represents a striking interpretation of the Saxon watchmaking tradition. In this model, the characteristic, asymmetrical dial design is presented in a stainless steel case extended to 42 mm, giving the watch an enhanced presence on the wrist. The dark grey, galvanized dial of the Reference 90-02-36-12-05 features fine vinyl grooves on the off-center displays for the hours and minutes as well as the small seconds. This arrangement follows the rules of the golden ratio and ensures a harmonious division of the complications.
Technically, the movement is powered by the manufacture caliber 90-02. This automatic movement is characterized by its excellent finish, which can be viewed through the sapphire crystal case back. Visible features include the classic Glashütte three-quarter plate with stripe finish, blued screws and the hand-engraved balance bridge with the patented duplex swan-neck fine adjustment. The large date - the so-called Panorama Date - is displayed without a distracting center bar and is complemented by a precise moon phase display. The watch is offered in a full set from 2010 and shows only minimal, barely visible signs of wear, which underlines the careful handling of this timepiece.
