The Reference 79280 from the „Small Block“ series marks one of the most exciting transition points in the history of the Tudor brand. This specific example is characterized by the use of Rolex original parts which are considered particularly valuable among collectors today: Both the screw-down triplock crown and the case back bear the signature of the parent company. The 40 mm stainless steel case impresses with its polished surfaces and precisely crafted Chamfers. The dial print „Prince Oysterdate“ identifies this watch as an early model in the series, even before the switch to the „Prince Date“ designation or the collaboration with Tiger Woods. The fixed tachymeter bezel gives the chronograph a striking, sporty contour that is closely related to the design of the Daytona.
