Master Compressor Extreme World Chronograph
Concept & History
The Master Compressor line represents a technical milestone in instrumental timekeeping from the Vallée de Joux. The focus of the design was on maximum resistance under extreme conditions. The complex combination of chronograph function and world time display is aimed at discerning collectors with a global radius of action. A significant feature of this era is the compression key system patented by Jaeger-LeCoultre, which guarantees outstanding mechanical tightness and consistently continues the history of professional operational watches.
Caliber & Technology
It is driven by the automatic manufacture movement Caliber 752, which is a Power reserve from 65 hours generated. The finishing of the high-performance movement includes traditional Côtes de Genève on the bridges. The switching wheel control ensures an extremely precise chronograph function, the amplitude of which remains absolutely stable even when the stop function is activated. A special design feature is the patented shock absorber mechanism integrated into the case, which reliably protects the fine movement from hard knocks and vibrations.
Housing & material
With a massive Diameter from 46.3 mm the architecture is designed for instrument character and robustness. The shell construction combines hard Stainless steel with light Titanium-elements to optimize wearing ergonomics. Precisely polished chamfers on the case horns emphasize the sophisticated surface finish. The distinctive compression keys on the pushers and crown ensure a guaranteed water resistance of 10 ATM. The model also has an integrated quick-change system for the belts.
Aesthetics & readability
The dial in deep black is focused on uncompromising functionality and fast information retrieval. The rotating city disk of the world time display is located on the rehaut, allowing 24 time zones to be read simultaneously. Generously applied luminous material on the hands and indices guarantees optimum visibility in low light. The red and white function display at 6 o'clock serves as a continuous visual check of the running seconds, underlining the highly technical appearance of this complex chronograph.
