Concept & History
The square chronograph with the reference CAW211P.FC6356 Originally designed for professional motorsport, the model series gained international fame thanks to the film „Le Mans“. The current interpretation takes up the original DNA precisely, preserves the unconventional design language and transports the racing heritage objectively into the present. This is a limited A design that is held in high esteem by collectors.
Caliber & Technology
Inside, the automatic Calibre 11. This construction is based on a tried-and-tested Swiss movement, which is enhanced with an excellent chronograph module from Dubois-Dépraz. A 40 hours power reserve and a clock rate of 28,800 A/h guarantee a continuously precise rate. The sapphire crystal case back provides an unobstructed view of the fine movement finishing, including perlage and Côtes de Genève, which underline the manufacture's mechanical standards. The module enables the classic bicompax arrangement.
Housing & material
The characteristic square housing measures 39 mm diameter and consists of polished and satin-finished Stainless steel. A striking feature of this specification is the crown positioned on the left-hand side, which echoes the technical layout of the first automatic chronograph. Domed sapphire crystal protects the dial, while a water resistance of 10 ATM which guarantees robustness suitable for everyday use. The architecture is securely closed with a folding clasp, which is also made entirely of Stainless steel is manufactured.
Aesthetics & readability
The dial is presented in a matt blue, which is contrasted by two square, silver sub-dials at three and nine o'clock. Red accents on the hands and indices optimize the visual separation of functions. The horizontally applied luminous indices and the fine minute scale on the rehaut help to quickly record stop times. A black strap made of Calfskin with perforation completes the instrumental motorsport character of this design.
