Sinn 156.1 The Historic Pilot's Chronograph
History and evolution of the reference 156.1
The Sense 156.1 is the logical development of a legend that is deeply rooted in the history of military aviation. As a direct homage to the famous Bundeswehr chronograph of the 1960s and 1970s, the 156.030 M the iconic inverted case design, while it has been technically transformed into the modern age. The bead-blasted stainless steel case emphasizes the instrumental character, which is complemented by the striking bidirectional rotating pilot's bezel. Particularly noteworthy is the design integrity, which guarantees pressure resistance up to 10 bar.
Mechanical precision: The SZ01 caliber
The centerpiece of this chronograph is the Sinn chronograph movement SZ01. This in-house modification is based on an architecture that significantly optimizes readability: The jumping 60-minute stop display from the center enables intuitive detection of the stopped time intervals, a feature that collectors appreciated in the historical model and has been perfected here. The finissage of the movement and the precise amplitude testify to the highest engineering skill from Frankfurt am Main. The matt black dial forms a functional unit with the date and weekday display at 3 o'clock, while the luminous color on the indices and hands ensures excellent legibility at night. In this unworn NOS condition from 2025, this set represents a rare opportunity for connoisseurs.
