Corum Admiral's Cup Challenger 48 Black Titanium
Concept & History
Since 1960, the Admiral’s Cup collection has embodied the maritime DNA of the Corum brand. In this model, 753.935.06/0371AN52, the iconic dodecagonal case design is reimagined with a modern, masculine flair. Limited to 750 pieces worldwide, this model underscores its claim to exclusivity. The characteristic nautical pennants on the dial are rendered here in a monochrome version, lending the timepiece a technical austerity. With its 48 mm case, the watch commands a dominant presence on the wrist.
Caliber & Technology
The watch is powered by the Caliber CO 753, a COSC-certified chronometer movement that meets the Swiss precision standard of -4/+6 seconds per day. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 A/h and offers a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. The service performed in 2026 included a complete movement overhaul and ensures the chronometer’s technical reliability. The chronograph mechanism is controlled via screw-down titanium pushers with a locking system; a circumferential rubber ring on the sides of the case provides additional mechanical protection.
Case & Material
The substantial case is made of lightweight titanium. This ensures a high level of comfort and corrosion resistance despite the 48 mm diameter. The distinctive twelve-sided bezel and the screw-down titanium case back ensure water resistance to 300 meters (30 ATM). The choice of materials is complemented by a vulcanized rubber strap that fits seamlessly into the lugs and completes the functional aesthetic of the overall black design.
Aesthetics & Readability
Despite the chronograph sub-dials, the dial design prioritizes clear readability. The hour markers and hands are coated with luminescent material, ensuring functionality in low-light conditions. The date window is discreetly positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock. A special detail of this set is the included ballpoint pen, which also serves as a setting tool—a testament to the attention to detail in the package contents. Visually, the timepiece is in very good condition with only minor signs of wear consistent with its history dating back to 2009.
