Concept & History
With the 1746.011 the Frankfurt-based brand offers a timepiece that deliberately sets itself apart from the company's purely instrumental watches. The design focuses on the traditional art of watchmaking and reduces the display to the essentials. The series combines technical reliability with a stringent design language. The focus is on clear proportions and a purist dial that quotes historical models. The resulting structural symmetry underlines the serious and understated character of the entire watch design.
Caliber & Technology
Inside the timepiece, the tried and tested ETA 2892-A2. This automatic caliber is equipped with 21 Stones equipped and swings with 28,800 vibrations per hour. The Amplitude remains thanks to precise regulation over the entire 42 hours power reserve extremely stable. Mechanically, the movement benefits from a reliable Incabloc shock protection and a non-magnetic design. The winding rotor shows fine Geneva strip, while the motherboard with a discreet Perlage which illustrates the horological claim.
Housing & material
The cylindrical housing made of highly polished Stainless steel measures 42 mm in diameter with a flat overall height of 9.4 mm. The display is protected by an anti-reflective coating on both sides. Sapphire crystal, while the screw-fastened base also has a viewing window made of scratch-resistant Sapphire crystal is equipped. The housing design is vacuum-proof and offers reliable compressive strength up to 10 bar. The discreetly dimensioned winding crown blends seamlessly into the polished right-hand side of the case.
Aesthetics & readability
The pure white dial is lavishly finished in order to emphasize the visual depth of historical Enamel precisely. Slim leaf hands glide over fine Roman numerals and a discreetly printed minute scale on the outer edge. The high-contrast color scheme guarantees excellent legibility in a wide range of lighting conditions. A flush-integrated date window at three o'clock seamlessly adjoins the narrow Rehaut and complements the functional level without breaking through the reduced geometry of the dial.
