The launch of the Referenz 310.32.42.50.02.001 marks the prestigious anniversary of the brand’s receipt of the “Silver Snoopy Award” in 1970. This award honored the brand’s critical contribution to the safe return of the Apollo 13 mission. The model reflects this profound historical significance through specific design elements. Produced as a continuous yet strictly limited series, this chronograph holds an extremely significant position within the collector community.
Caliber & Technology
Inside the watch is a highly precise Kaliber 3861, a certified Master Chronometer. This hand-wound movement offers 50 hours power reserve. The sophisticated finishing features traditional Geneva stripes and meticulously polished bevels. The case back features a complex mechanical mechanism: when the chronograph is activated, a Command and Service Module orbits the moon, while an Earth disc rotates in perfect sync with the movement’s small seconds hand.
Case & Material
The asymmetrical housing measures 42 mm in diameter and is made entirely of brushed and polished Stainless steel. The bezel made of scratch-resistant Ceramics features a tachymeter scale in white Email featuring the historic “Dot over Ninety” detail. The ensemble is protected by a domed Sapphire crystalThe water resistance is 5 ATM. A bracelet made of blue nylon fabric secures the model to the wrist.
Aesthetics & Readability
Made of solid Silber (Ag925) crafted dial provides a bright, contrasting backdrop for the blued sub-dials. A deeply embossed Snoopy medallion rests at the 9 o’clock position. Blue hands and hour markers, coated with long-lasting luminescent material, ensure optimal readability at all times. A color-coordinated flange precisely frames the functional displays. The combination of blue accents and the silver base tone underscores the instrument’s functional character.
