The Reference A13350 represents the uncompromising tool watch interpretation of the Chronomat design language. In contrast to the often highly polished sister models of the 90s, the Blackbird due to their full-surface Satin finish of the 39 mm Stainless steel-housing. This „stealth“ look absorbs reflections and underlines the military aspirations of the „Serie Speciale“. The characteristic rotating bezel with the four applied Riders at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock ensures a non-slip feel and protects the anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The matt black dial with the red „Serie Speciale“ lettering offers maximum contrast to the tritium-coated indices and hands, which can display authentic ageing.
Caliber and history
Underneath the solid, screw-down case back, the robust Breitling 13 caliber, This chronograph movement is regarded as the „tractor“ of watchmaking and is characterized by its high winding efficiency and ease of maintenance. This example from 1996 comes in the rare Full Set and was founded in the year 2025 a complete service undergone. For collectors of the neo-vintage era, this example is an opportunity to secure one of the most purist Breitling watches of the pre-core era due to its immaculate condition („no signs of wear“) and complete documentation.
