The 42 mm version of the Ulysse Nardin Diver marks the company's entry into the maritime world and impresses with its deliberately minimalist aesthetics. Under the reference 8163-175/93 is a timepiece that is characterized by its sandblasted, deep blue dial. A striking detail is the concave, unidirectional rotating bezel, which gives the stainless steel case a dynamic yet flat silhouette. The applied indices and hands are generously provided with Super-LumiNova, which ensures legibility even at depth. At the 6 o'clock position, the date window blends discreetly into the overall picture without disturbing the symmetry.
This model is powered by the UN-816 calibre, a movement based on proven Swiss architecture, but profoundly modified by Ulysse Nardin and equipped with silicon components for the escapement to minimize friction and increase magnetic resistance. The case back is finely engraved with the coordinates of Le Locle, underlining the brand's nautical origins. The blue textile strap rounds off the sporty look. The watch dates from 2021 and shows only minimal, barely visible signs of wear.
