The Reference 116610LN marked a technological quantum leap for the Submariner line when it was launched and still defines the standard for robust sports watches today. The 40 mm case in the so-called Maxi-CaseThanks to the wider horns and the more solid crown guard, the new design looks more present on the wrist than its five-digit predecessors. The unidirectional rotating bezel is inlaid with a black Cerachrom ceramics with platinum-coated numerals and indices - this guarantees lasting scratch resistance and color fastness. The black dial features enlarged indices („maxi dial“) with blue Chromalight-luminous mass for optimum readability.
Drive and belt technology
Inside, the system known as the „tractor“ performs Caliber 3135 its service. This chronometer-certified movement is characterized by the paramagnetic blue Parachrome spiral and enormous reliability. A decisive technical upgrade of this generation is the solid Oyster bracelet with the ingenious Glidelock clasp. It allows tool-free fine adjustment of the strap in 2 mm increments, ideal for switching between wetsuit and shirt cuff. This model is particularly attractive for the German market: it is a German delivery (LC100), complete with box and papers.
