OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 42 mm 600M Co-Axial
Housing and aesthetics
The Seamaster Planet Ocean the Reference 232.30.42.21.01.001 marks a technological turning point in the evolution of Omega diver's watches. The 42 mm stainless steel case impresses with its characteristic combination of polished and brushed surfaces, while the striking Chamfers on the horns emphasize the masculine presence. The unidirectional rotating diver's bezel is equipped with an inlay made of scratch-resistant ceramic, the gray shade of which corresponds perfectly with the matt black dial. The applied indices and the striking 6, 9 and 12 offer outstanding readability thanks to Super-LumiNova. Equipped with a helium valve at 10 o'clock, this timepiece is pressure-resistant to a depth of 600 meters.
Caliber and mechanics
At the heart of this Planet Ocean is the groundbreaking Omega 8500, a Co-Axial manufacture caliber with two barrels connected in series. This construction enables a sovereign Power reserve of 60 hours and an exceptionally stable Amplitude. The movement is equipped with a free balance spring made of silicon, which makes it resistant to magnetic fields. In the course of the Service 2025 the mechanics were completely overhauled so that the watch now operates within the strictest chronometer standards again. The elaborate Finissage of the caliber, including the exclusive Côtes de Genève arabesque, can be admired through the sapphire crystal back.
