Concept & History
The Reference 7941A1A0NU represents a logical evolution within the history of modern diving watches. Without losing sight of its historical roots, the model presents itself in a minimalist, monochromatic design that emphasizes its functional aspects. The minimalist design dispenses with gold-plated accents and focuses on maximum contrast. In doing so, the architecture draws on early Submariner designs while incorporating contemporary manufacturing standards for professional underwater operations.
Caliber & Technology
Inside, the watch is powered by the MT5602-U in-house movement, which meets the strict METAS Master Chronometer certification standards. The MT5602-U caliber offers a 70-hour power reserve and is resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. The free-sprung balance is secured by a transverse bridge, which, in combination with a non-magnetic silicon balance spring, ensures chronometric precision. The movement’s architecture is consistently designed for robustness and durability under extreme conditions.
Case & Material
The case, crafted from satin-finished and polished stainless steel, measures 41 mm in diameter and features ergonomically optimized proportions along its sides. The easy-to-grip crown, featuring the Tudor Rose relief, ensures secure operation. A unidirectional rotating bezel made of stainless steel with a numeric disc inlay made of black aluminum frames the domed sapphire crystal. Due to its construction, the watch achieves a water resistance of 200 meters, which fully supports professional diving.
Aesthetics & Readability
The matte black dial is precisely structured by applied hour markers with rhodium-plated edges. The applied luminous material ensures excellent luminescence and readability in low-light conditions. Typical of the series are the angular snowflake hands, which allow for intuitive differentiation between the hour and minute displays underwater. The absence of a date display ensures a symmetrical layout. A subtly integrated silver minute track along the edge, combined with the crystal, creates additional visual depth.
