Breitling Avenger Automatic 45 Seawolf
Housing & construction
The Reference A17319101I1A1 impressively demonstrates Breitling's expertise in the field of extreme diving watches. The solid satin-finished case Stainless steel measures 45 mm in diameter and is designed to withstand the immense pressure at depths of up to 3,000 meters (300 bar). Essential to this pressure resistance is the integrated helium valve on the side of the case, which enables pressure equalization during saturation dives. The unidirectional rotating bezel features the brand's typical tabs, which not only make it easy to operate - even when wearing gloves - but also protect the domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides.
Caliber & Precision
The drive is the Breitling Caliber 17, a mechanical automatic movement based on the proven ETA 2824-2. It is certified by the official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), which guarantees a maximum rate deviation of -4 to +6 seconds per day. The movement works with a Frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a Power reserve of approx. 38 hours. The screw-down crown with double sealing system and the solid, screw-down case back protect the movement hermetically.
Aesthetics & details
The dial in Cobra Yellow is the unique visual feature of this model and ensures maximum readability under water as well as a striking presence on land. Large indices and hands coated with Super-LumiNova in a „stencil“ design correspond with the technical orientation of the Avenger line. The robust Professional III stainless steel bracelet is fitted with a safety folding clasp with fine adjustment. Despite its functional orientation, the case has a high-quality finish with precise chamfers and satin-finished surfaces.
