The Omega Seamaster Professional Diver 300M traces its origins back to 1993, when Omega introduced a watch designed for professional diving to a broader market segment. The completely redesigned 2018 generation marked a substantial leap forward: a black ceramic bezel, Co-Axial escapement, and the first-ever introduction of the METAS standard as a Master Chronometer. The Caliber 8800 is a manufacture movement featuring bidirectional automatic winding, a Co-Axial escapement, and a silicon balance spring. The silicon balance spring requires no conventional lubrication and is completely resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss—a parameter explicitly verified in the METAS testing procedure. Case & Material
The 42 mm stainless steel case features a unidirectional rotating bezel made of black ceramic with white markings and a luminescent marker at 12 o'clock. The screw-down crown is secured against accidental opening by an integrated crown guard; a helium escape valve at 10 o’clock is standard. The screw-down display case back is engraved in the Omega style with “10 Years” and “Giants Software.” Strap: Stainless steel bracelet with a stainless steel folding clasp.
