The Pavonina collection, here in the Reference 1-03-01-06-12-14, demonstrates the Saxon manufacturer's expertise in the field of complex case designs. The striking cushion shape case measures 31 x 31 mm. A special technical feature is the patented, movable strap lugs, which ensure an ergonomically perfect fit on the wrist and organically break up the geometric severity of the case. The dial features a fine guilloché pattern in the center and applied brilliant-cut indices that underline the classic appeal of the line without appearing baroque.
The manufacture caliber
Even with quartz-controlled movements, Glashütte Original does not compromise on vertical integration. The built-in Caliber 03-01 was developed specifically for the dimensions of the Pavonina. In contrast to standard quartz movements, this caliber has an elaborately finished plate with the characteristic Glashütte stripe finish and gold-plated contacts. Technically relevant for collectors is the triple magnetic shielding of the movement, which effectively protects the mechanism from the influences of modern electronics and thus guarantees high rate stability. The condition of this example from 2014 is excellent, with only barely visible signs of wear, which indicates that the previous owner handled it with care.
