A. LANGE & SÖHNE Datograph Flyback Platinum
The chronograph benchmark from Glashütte
The Reference 403.035 is considered by connoisseurs to be one of the most important chronographs in the art of modern watchmaking. The solid case made of Platinum 950 with its classic 39 mm diameter gives the timepiece an impressive tactile presence on the wrist. The black dial in solid silver forms a strong contrast with the bright sub-dials in rhodium-plated silver, maximizing legibility and underlining the typical architectural symmetry of the Saxon manufactory. The striking Large date at 12 o'clock balances the composition perfectly.
Mechanical excellence: Caliber L951.1
The real highlight is revealed when you look through the sapphire crystal case back. The Caliber L951.1 is a mechanical work of art made from untreated nickel silver. It has a Flyback chronographs with classic column wheel gearshift and a precisely jumping minute counter. The finissage is second to none: Glashütte striping, beaded plates, blued screws and the hand-engraved balance cock with swan-neck fine adjustment create an optical depth that is often referred to as the „city under glass“. Due to a comprehensive overhaul in 2025 (costing €5,500), the movement is technically and visually in immaculate condition.
