The Reference 116500LN marks a significant milestone in the history of the Cosmograph Daytona. The defining feature of this model is the white dial with black-edged totalizers, which is referred to in collectors„ circles as the “panda dial". This high-contrast design not only ensures optimum readability, but also visually evokes the early hand-wound references of the 1960s. The face of the watch is framed by a black monobloc dial.Cerachrom bezel made of ceramic. This material is extremely scratch-resistant, corrosion-resistant and insensitive to UV radiation, which means that the tachymetric scale retains its flawless appearance even after years of use. The manufacture caliber
Inside, the tried and tested Caliber 4130, a mechanical chronograph movement with an automatic self-winding mechanism developed and manufactured entirely by Rolex. Reduced in design to fewer components than a standard chronograph, this increases the reliability of the movement immensely. The clutch is vertical, which enables the stopwatch hand to start precisely without „jumping“. Equipped with a Parachrome spiral, The movement is highly resistant to vibrations and temperature fluctuations. The Power reserve is a remarkable 72 hours.
